We are looking for a nanny share opportunity full-time (5 days per week) ideally starting in September. Our son will be 3 month old at that time. Ideal hours would be 8:30 -5:30 but we can adjust that if needed. We live in NW Portland near the intersection of Miller Rd and Cornell Rd. We have space to host but are open to drop off/your home or a combination as well.
We hope for a family with a similar aged infant and a care giver with previous infant experience. A background in early childhood education/development would be a bonus! We would like someone who will be present and engaged with our son - reading, dancing, singing, outside play, etc. Our parenting philosophy includes very limited TV/ipad time so we hope to find a family with a similar style.
If you are a nearby family looking for a nanny share option I would love to talk to you! Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
We would like help at home with our 14-month-old daughter in the early weekday evenings, roughly 5:30 to 6:30 or 7:00pm. Usually, we'll both be home as well, but one of us has a daily 6-6:30 online assignment, which is why we need an extra set of hands.
What we need: Reliability, since we need this person every day M-F. Fun, because you're working with a toddler. Flexibility, because we'd love you to help out on other occasions if you're able. Ideally, we'd like you to be able to babysit on occasion and/or help out during the day when daycare is closed - such as the last week of August - and perhaps stay a bit later once a month or so when one of us travels for work. Oh, you should also be pet-friendly, as we have two dogs and two cats. (The cats are always in the laundry room but the dogs are usually upstairs with us.) We're open to a student, grandparent, or experienced nanny.
What you'll do: The position will help with general toddler wrangling and feeding of dinner; kitchen clean-up, mainly of toddler bottles/snack containers that get washed daily, wiping counters, sweeping/mopping; and helping prep toddler lunch for daycare the following day. The number one priority is the toddler, but since both of us will normally be around, you may spend a little more time on KP while one of us deals with daughter some nights.
About us: We're new to Portland and live in Beaumont-Wilshire. Both of us work from home, one as an engineer and the other as a communications consultant. We like to bike and drink beer, though we have little time for either these days. We're pretty easygoing people who moved here to spend more time outdoors and with each other as a family. Our daughter is active and happy, loves to be outside, but can also be a handful at mealtime and bedtime. Read: she is a toddler. :)
Please email us at email@example.com with a little bit about yourself along with resume and references if available, and your hourly rate.
